Creating an SSH Keypair

Unfuddle uses public key cryptography to authenticate all access to Git repositories over SSH. In order to use an Unfuddle Git Repository, you will need to generate a keypair and provide Unfuddle with the public portion. If you already have a public/private keypair, then you may use your existing public key without having to create a new one.

Linux

$ ssh-keygen -t rsa

Windows

On Windows, you can either use the ssh-keygen tool provided with msysGit, or a more generic tool such as PuTTYgen (http://putty.org).

Final Configuration

Once you have the full contents of the key (including the ssh-rsa prefix and the trailing user@machine), you should then paste that into your Personal Settings in Unfuddle.
